Cashmere Aviation is a premier helicopter charter company that has proudly served clients throughout South Africa for over 20 years.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialised aviation services built around four core areas of expertise: Aerial Filming, VVIP Charter Operations, Firefighting Support, and Long-Line Sling Operations. In addition, we offer precision stunt flying services for the film and entertainment industry, performed by highly experienced pilots and supported by rigorous safety standards.

Whether supporting critical aerial operations, transporting VIP passengers, assisting emergency response teams, or capturing world-class aerial footage, Cashmere Aviation combines experience, expertise, and reliability to deliver outstanding results every time.
Aerial Filming
We use specialised pilots for aerial filming work, all of whom have in excess of 6,000 hours Pilot In Command and 500 hours filming experience.
Charter Ops
Our charter services are located in central South Africa allowing us to operate anywhere in the country, including Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Firefighting
We operate a 900 litre 1821 Bambi Fire Bucket and we provide an emergency response ex Kimberley Airport (FAKM) for all grass and bush fires in the Northern Cape area.
Sling Work
We provide a wide variety of sling and medium lifting operations including: aircraft recovery, banner towing, remote construction and vertical referencing.

What Have We Been Up To?
January 2026
Ultimate Heliport, Midrand
Working with Red Dot and National Airways Corporation Helicopter Division to deliver on a unique and first-time application in South Africa of lifting an active LED banner at the Ultimate Heliport.
Thanks to Mitch, chief pilot at NAC, for the extensive work done on R&D for the banner during the initial test flight.

Working with National Airways Corporation Helicopter Division to once again deliver on a lifting application in Johannesburg. Ground support from the client was exceptional which allowed everyone involved to execute the 15 lifts safely, securely and on time.
